One thousand posts after four years of hosting this blog. What a ride. It’s been a joy to get to interview some of my favorite authors, share my thoughts on new books, challenge myself to try new genres and start a book club with my friend.
I also want to take the time to thank my followers and subscribers for continuing to post kudos, likes and sometimes coment. Thank you for following and for any new readers, thanks for joining. I hope you’ve found some books you like.
Anyway, I post a lot of books and a lot of authors, I wanted to showcase some authors that I’ve read a lot. These I’ve chosen based on the number of books, that they are a singular author and not a nome de plume with a stable of ghost writers, and I’ve read their books more than once.
J.H. Sweet gets top spot at 60 books with her Fairy Chronicles series.
Suzanne Williams and Joan Holub have 46 with the 30 book Goddess Girls series, #1-8 of Grimmtastic Girls, the Thunder Girls quartet and the first three books of Heroes in Training.
Although I grew out of Ellen Miles’ Puppy Place series, I got to 39 plus four Kitty Corner books, equaling 43.
Lisi Harrison and Jen Calonita are tied at 30 with respectively The Clique, Alphas, The Pretenders, and The Dirty Book Club; Secrets of My Hollywood Life, Reality Check, Sleepaway Girls, Summer State of Mind, Fairytale Reform School series, Royal Academy trilogy, 12 to 22, The Retake, Mirror Mirror, Conceal Don’t Feal, Go the Distance, Cruel Truth, Suddenly Super, Fairy Godmother, and Rise of Flynn Ryder.
Followed shortly by Meg Cabot with Avalon High, #1-10 of Princess Diaries, Allie Finkle’s Rules for Girls series, and the Girl Meets Boy quartet with 21 books, Jess Burkhart at 24 with Canterwood Crest series and The Saddlehill Academy quartet, and Shannon Hale with 22 books with Princess Academy trilogy, Real Friends trilogy, Austenland trilogy, Books of Bayern quartet, Rapunzel’s Revenge duology, Ever After High series, Book of a Thousand Days and Kind of Big Deal. Finally Rachel Renee Russell is at 19 books with her Dork Diaries series and Misadventures of Max Crumbly trilogy.
Others that reach over 10, and I have read more than once include George O’Connor’s Olympians series and Asgardians quartet, Ann M. Martin’s Main Street series, Family Tree quartet, an assorted standalones and BSC books, and Cathy Hapka’s multiple books with her Star Power series, Pardon my French, French Kisses and more as she writes under a number of pseudonyms.
