You must wonder how I could have a favorite out of the hundreds and thousands digests out there and the answer simply came about from sentimentality and nostalgia-fuel. So this is entirely my opinion.

This issue has some of my favorite stories like:

-The Big Prize: My first introduction to the Goodwill Girls that not only has puppies but classic Veronica trying to outwit Betty to win a top prize.

-ReRun Fun: A fun Archie take on Gilligan’s Island when Archie snoozes on the Lodges yacht.

-Star Trip: An Archie take on Star Trek/Star Wars where he faces his fatal foe, Darth Reggie.

-Pharaoh Foul: This I believe is from the 50s when the King Tut exhibit and Egypt was all the rage. At least based on the designs. Anyway the teens explore the ancient pyramids of Queen Hetsheput.

-Jogger Jill: This is a spooky ghost tale as Archie trains for cross-country when he learns of the tragic story of Jogger Jill of Central High.

-Go West, Young Dude: The Archies head to California where they experience the outtasite beach proms of the West coast.

-El Matador: The Archie players return in this Spanish tale of love and bullfighting. I seriously love the Archie players.

So yeah, that about sums up some of my favorite stories from the issue but it’s not just that, it also has some classic Josie and the Pussycats and Sabrina to tickle your fancy as well.
